Now we’re jumping back and forth through time, from a past to a future that are not shared by our main characters. The idea was that almost all of chapter 3 is an alternative history that only matters to the dimension-hopping naked psychopath that destroyed the bar in chapter 2. For everyone else, some of these events transpired, some transpired differently, and I haven’t yet gotten into which and why. For example, it does seem as if The Patriarch could have been the person who murdered Elly’s husband, since we see him trying to do so here…
